The single version of Healing Water, the new track from Stu E Skinner, is a great example of tactfully fleshing out an acoustic track – the extra elements; the slide guitar, the gentle kick, the bass part and the occasional keys at no point overpower the main finger picked base to the song. Because at the root of it this track is a sweet sounding acoustic piece with some fantastic vocals, everything else adds to the song but let’s the song breath at the same time. It’s well written and well produced – definitely worth giving it a listen!
