Collars are one of those bands who are really gunning for it as far as gigging is concerned at the minute across most of East Anglia (well, and the rest of the country) – see them and you’ll understand why crowds can’t get enough of them; their performances are energetic, their setup is unorthodox, their songs are excellent fun. They’re really just a joy to watch. Just like the video for Rabbit Heart, the second single taken from their forthcoming album, Clyde. A DIY video of puppetry? What’s not to love?
The single itself is an excellent listen too, a little slice of indie that reminds me a lot of the bands I grew up with – even the guitar sound sort of gives that positive nostalgic feeling. The vocals sound perfect for the track, slightly calmer than I remember from watching them live but right for the music. They’ve produced it themselves and it sounds incredible. DIY from start to finish seemingly. What’s more to say? Just give it a listen. Go see them live.
