Split over three venues on Colchester High Street, this one day festival, organised by Abbas Lokat, pays homage to Loxley’s Corner, a radio host and radio show that has really stood up for the local music scene over the years, giving local musicians an outlet to have their records played (as well as acoustic sets and interviews). The festival takes inspiration from that format too, with Loxley going from venue to venue to chat with some of the bands during their performances.
Taking part in Queen Street Brewhouse, Coda and Three Wise Monkeys, this all dayer runs from 2pm until late and features music from:
Ghosts Of Men
The Lamplight Club
We Are All Fossils
The Wicked Ravens
Katy for Kings
Litter of Kings
Stu E. Skinner
The Upsy Daisies
It’s free entry but they’re raising money for The Robin Cancer Trust via donations on the door.
Here’s a playlist of the bands playing, have a listen, decide who you want to watch!
