As I leave Paper Dress Vintage and hug a friend goodbye they apologise for how sweaty they are. Irrelevant, given that my tshirt is soaked with a combination of sweat and a tonne of beer anyway. It wasn’t the first time and won’t be the last time I leave a Dingus Khan gig in this way – they have a way of just creating an atmosphere that leads to sweat dripping from the ceiling and people spilling beer in the mosh pit. With an excellent setlist bridging classic tracks, songs from the unreleased second record and songs from the even more unreleased third album, Dingus Khan didn’t disappoint. Support came from My Fat Pony, a genuinely brilliant band and Brie, who’s guitarist is familiar from crowdsurfing over my head at about a dozen previous Dingus Khan gigs – they were great too.
